Document Review Expert

Overview

In this role, you will evaluate AI-generated responses and provide detail-oriented corrections and improvements. This is a great opportunity for methodical experts with an eye for detail to contribute to high-impact AI research projects.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a top-500 globally ranked university preferred
• Strong reading and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed task guidelines

Required Skills

• Strong critical reading skills with the ability to identify nuance, implicit meaning, and changes in detail
• Consistent and honest judgment, including the ability to give critical assessments when warranted
• Strict attention to detail and accurate application of structured evaluation guidelines
• Ability to work entirely without AI assistance

Preferred Experience

• Document-heavy professional experience (paralegals, executive assistants, etc.)
• Detail-oriented professional experience (client-facing industries such as consulting, banking, law)

Eligibility

• Native English fluency required

Role Highlights

• Minimum 30 hours per week (ideally 40+)
• Fully remote — must be based in the United States.
• Role starts immediately, applications reviewed on a rolling basis

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
